About Patty MacIsaac

Patty MacIsaac is the face behind the artwork you see at Good Karma Handmade Goods & Art. She is also my sister, and someone whose creativity has always been a big part of who she is. Her work is inspired by nature, energy, strong emotions, the rebel within, and the deeper layers of the subconscious.

Patty was born in the beautiful community of Giants Lake in Guysborough County, where her love for both nature and art began at a young age. Growing up, she spent many hours drawing and filling sketchbooks.

In her early twenties, she moved from sketching on paper to painting with acrylics on canvas. What started as a new creative outlet quickly became another way for her to express herself.

Now in her thirties, Patty still enjoys working with pencil but has expanded her creativity into several different mediums. Her work includes acrylic painting, digital design, wood burning, pen work, window painting, and handcrafted décor such as wreaths.

Looking ahead, Patty hopes to continue sharing her creativity within the community. Her goals include hosting workshops, gaining knowledge and experience through her role as Secretary with ArtWorks East, connecting with local businesses, and creating custom pieces for people with ideas they would like to bring to life.

Her artwork often blends elements of the inner self with inspiration from the world around her, reflecting her belief that artistic expression has no limits.
